Stjarnan was one of four clubs from Iceland that had teams playing during Scania Cup 2016. They participated with two teams in Boys 03 and Boys 01 respectively. The team in Boys 03 made it to the the 7-8 in Slutspeland won it over Högsbo Basket by 57-38.
Stjarnan comes from Garðabær which lies approximately 2100 km from Södertälje, where Scania Cup takes place. The area around Garðabær does also provide two additional clubs participating during Scania Cup 2016 (IR and KR).
