SBBK was one of 26 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Scania Cup 2017. They participated with 14 teams in all categories of the tournament. Five teams played until 11-12 in Slutspel; Girls 04 won over Haga Haninge by 26-19, Girls 03 won over SISU Basketball by 57-50, Boys 03 lost against Horsens IC by 47-67, Boys 01 lost against Virum Vipers by 42-57 and Boys 98-99 lost against SISU Basketball by 36-63.

In addition to this, SBBK have participated in Scania Cup before. During Scania Cup 2016, SBBK had 12 teams playing in all categories except Boys 05, Boys 04, Boys 03, Boys 02, Boys 01, Boys 00, Boys 98-99, Girls 05, Girls 04, Girls 03, Girls 02, Girls 01, Girls 00 and Girls 98-99. Five teams played until 11-12 in Slutspel; Girls 02 won over Lobas by 44-36, Boys 03 lost against Hammarby Basket by 34-36, Boys 00 lost against Helsingborg BBK by 48-56, Girls 03 lost against Hørsholm BBK by 24-52 and Girls 01 lost against Skuru IK Basket by 35-40.

SBBK originates from Södertälje, which is the same city as where Scania Cup takes place. The area around Södertälje does also provide 11 additional clubs participating during Scania Cup 2017 (Among others: Fryshuset, Aik Basket, Haga Haninge, Spånga Basket, KFUM Blackeberg, Skuru IK, Hammarby Basket, Fryshuset Basket, Tureberg Basket and Norrort).
